MeitY incubation scheme strengthening regional pipelines for tech startups, supporting incubation infrastructure and startup growth in emerging tech areas. NGIS is implemented by the Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) on MeitY's behalf and is geographically anchored to 12 Tier-II locations — including Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Guwahati, Jaipur, Lucknow, Patna, and Mohali among others — rather than being open nationally without incubator affiliation. It carries a ₹95.03 crore outlay over three years with a target of incentivizing 300 startups at seed funding of up to ₹25 lakh each, alongside a dedicated Chunauti challenge-hunt track for identifying promising ideas in emerging technology areas. Software product startups, including those with embedded electronics components, are the primary fit for this scheme.
