Next Generation Incubation Scheme

NGIS is an STPI program supporting software product startups through incubation, cloud credits, mentorship, internships, and seed funding. STPI’s official page lists ₹10,000/month internship support for six months and seed funding up to ₹25 lakh. NGIS operates through STPI's network of Centres of Excellence and its CHUNAUTI initiative, combining a ₹10,000/month stipend for six months with milestone-linked seed funding of up to ₹25 lakh for shortlisted software-product startups. Because it sits under STPI rather than DPIIT, applicants typically apply through a specific CoE's open call, covering domains like AI, IoT, fintech, medtech, agritech and cybersecurity, rather than a single centralized portal, and selection weighs the innovation, team and business proposal against that CoE's mandate.
