SPARK (Support for Prototype and Research Kickstart) grant provides up to ₹1.5 Crore to startups, MSMEs, and individual innovators to solve specific challenge statements published by the armed forces. SPARK is the standard grant-disbursement mechanism for winners of DISC, ADITI and Open Challenge problem statements, providing up to ₹1.5 crore to build a working prototype against a specific capability gap published by the armed forces or a defence PSU. The process runs through iDEX portal registration, a detailed technical proposal tied to the chosen challenge statement, and review by a High-Powered Screening Committee before a milestone-linked grant agreement is signed.
