BIRAC's bio-incubation program providing infrastructure and operational support to biotech incubators across India, nurturing biotech startups through shared facilities and mentorship. BIRAC has supported around 75-95 BioNEST bio-incubators and E-Yuva centres across India, together offering over a million square feet of shared lab space, which is why applicants apply directly to an individual host incubator (such as HTIC Chennai, Sastra TBI, TANUVAS or SRM BioNEST) rather than to BIRAC centrally. Each BioNEST centre runs its own admission cycle and offers wet-lab and instrumentation access alongside business, IP and regulatory mentorship, so the exact facilities and fees a biotech founder gets depend on which host incubator they are accepted into.
