UP's new startup policy with a ₹1,000 crore Startup Fund, providing prototype grants of ₹10-20 lakh, seed funding up to ₹30 lakh, and patient capital up to ₹100 crore. Under the new policy, standard prototype grants were doubled to ₹10 lakh, with deep-tech startups eligible for up to ₹20 lakh, and the state added an annual cloud-service reimbursement of up to ₹2 lakh that is separate from the prototype and seed figures already listed. The headline ₹100 crore patient-capital tier is explicitly aimed at frontier-technology ventures working in AI, robotics, quantum computing, and space technology, so mainstream software or services startups should expect to be routed toward the smaller prototype and seed tiers rather than this ceiling figure.
