Meghalaya PRIME Entrepreneurship Program

Meghalaya PRIME supports entrepreneurs through incubation, bootcamps, and financial support. Public updates reference award/grant support for selected entrepreneurs, such as ₹2 lakh for top entrepreneurs and ₹1 lakh for additional selected entrepreneurs in specific rounds. PRIME, short for Promotion and Incubation of Market Driven Enterprises, has run since 2019 and offers a tiered set of instruments beyond the cohort awards noted above, including a Small Support Grant of up to ₹3 lakh for already-operational businesses, an Innoventure Grant of up to ₹35 lakh for product development, and an interest-free, collateral-free Innovation Scale-up soft loan of up to ₹75 lakh. Roughly a fifth of PRIME's funds, including a dedicated ₹25 lakh Innovation Scaleup Loan tier, are reserved specifically for women-led startups, and the programme also provides free co-working space in Shillong and Tura for onboarded founders.
