The Maha-Fund is a Maharashtra government startup capital pool operated via MSInS, providing venture funding and mentoring to startups registered and operating in Maharashtra, complementing the states procurement and pilot programmes. The Chief Minister's MahaFund is a ₹500 crore commitment under Maharashtra's Startup, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Policy 2025, intended to support roughly 25,000 early-stage entrepreneurs selected through a three-stage screening process from a wider outreach pool. It places particular emphasis on startup loans in the ₹5-10 lakh range for youth, women, and rural founders, and is administered through MSInS as the state's apex innovation body.
