A global seed investor offering a standard deal of $500,000, comprising $125k for 7% equity and a $375k uncapped SAFE, for early-stage startups. The program runs in batches four times a year. Y Combinator has funded more than 190 Indian companies to date, with representation from India growing sharply in recent years (a 2021 batch alone included 43 Indian startups, a then-record), and its India-linked alumni include Razorpay, Meesho, Groww and Zepto — several of which have gone on to unicorn valuations after their YC batch. Batches run four times a year in San Francisco with the standard $500,000 deal, so Indian applicants to the Fall 2026 batch should plan for in-person participation in the US during the program rather than a remote track.
