PMFME Scheme

PMFME supports micro food-processing units with credit-linked subsidy, seed capital for SHGs, and support for branding/common infrastructure. Public scheme pages show 35% credit-linked subsidy up to ₹10 lakh for individual micro units. PMFME was launched under the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan with a ₹10,000 crore outlay running from 2020-21 through 2024-25 (since extended), and it follows a One District One Product (ODOP) approach that ties support to specific products each state has identified for that district, prioritizing perishables like fruits, vegetables, spices, and fisheries alongside traditional foods. This listing's 35%/₹10 lakh subsidy applies specifically to individual micro-enterprises; group applicants such as FPOs, SHGs, and cooperatives access the scheme through separate seed-capital and common-infrastructure components rather than this individual subsidy route.
