The Technology Incubation and Development of Entrepreneurs (TIDE 2.0) Entrepreneurs-in-Residence (EIR) track provides a fellowship of up to ₹4 Lakhs over 1 year to encourage young innovators to validate their tech-based business ideas. The EIR track sits at the front end of TIDE 2.0's broader push to strengthen roughly 2,000 ICT-enabled startups over five years through a network of 52+ incubators, which MeitY groups into Group 1, Group 2, and Group 3 centres based on maturity and track record. Because the ₹4 lakh fellowship is meant to fund idea validation and proof-of-concept work rather than a finished product, awardees are expected to graduate into the TIDE 2.0 grant track (or an equivalent incubation program) once they have de-risked the core technology. Priority areas mirror national-concern sectors such as healthcare, agriculture, financial inclusion, and clean energy rather than software products in general.
