AWS Activate is a program designed for early-stage startups, providing cloud credits, technical training, and business support resources. This entry-level AWS Activate track is aimed at startups without existing VC backing or accelerator referrals, requiring only a functional company website, an active AWS account and valid registration — a lower bar than the higher-value tiers reserved for VC-portfolio companies. Approval typically comes within 3-5 working days of a complete application, faster than most grant-based schemes, making it a practical first step for SaaS, EdTech, HealthTech or FinTech teams at idea through revenue stage that need to offset early cloud hosting costs. The credits are non-dilutive but must be used within AWS's own console and services rather than converted to cash.
